  • NDA Regional Tournament Series Comes to Successful Close in Rockford

    INDIANAPOLIS –The AMOA- National Dart Association held the fourth and final Regional Tournament of the 2015-16 series in Rockford, Illinois, Jan. 8-10, sponsored by the Rockford Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.

    The first regional tournament to be held in Rockford, the regional competition boasted 374 entries and drew in 214 players sent by 19 NDA operators from across Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin and beyond.

  • Gram Weight of Darts Increased for NDA Tournaments

    INDIANAPOLIS –Following discussion at the annual membership meeting, AMOA-National Dart Association (NDA) members have approved an increase in dart gram weight from 18 to 20 grams.  As of June 1, 2015, NDA-sanctioned players may use 20 gram darts in all NDA regional, junior and international tournaments.

    This change comes in response to player and operator feedback regarding the current NDA rules of play.

  • Junior Darters Have Fun Filled Weekend at AMOA-NDA Annual Tournament

    INDIANAPOLIS –The AMOA–National Dart Association held its second annual Junior Tournament in Bloomington, Minn., June 19-21. Seventeen NDA operators sent 138 players to the tournament, all competing for great prizes and showcasing their love of electronic soft-tip darting.

    INDIANAPOLIS – The AMOA-National Dart Association (NDA) is pleased to announce a new, shortened schedule for Team Dart 2016. To be held April 22-27, at Bally’s Las Vegas, next year’s tournament will feature six days of competition.

    INDIANAPOLIS –The AMOA-National Dart Association (NDA) is proud to welcome two new board directors for 2015. Ricky “Rabbit” Stoddard and Trevor Foster began their duties Jan. 1. Joining them are newly elected officers, President Alvin Gerlach, Vice President Mary Lynn Lavine and Treasurer Shawn Smith.

  • 2014 NDA Regionals Come to Successful Close in Minnesota

    INDIANAPOLIS –The final AMOA- National Dart Association Regional Tournament of the year was held in Rochester, Minnesota, Dec. 12 -14. The tournament attracted 170 players from 14 NDA operator members across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and South Dakota.

    The NDA Minnesota Regional saw more than 260 event entry certificates in Open Singles 501, Open Singles Cricket, Open Doubles Cricket, Open Doubles ’01 and Mixed Triples Combo. A total of 131 winning places were awarded.

    INDIANAPOLIS –Electronic dart players across the world gathered together to celebrate International Play Darts Day October 29. Created by the NDA to celebrate the world of darts, International Play Darts Day raises awareness of the sport and the community behind it. The AMOA-National Dart Association (NDA) would like to thank everyone who helped celebrate.

    Operators and locations were encouraged to host a special league night or event to bring darters together, and dress to represent a cause, bar, state or country.

  • NDA Regional Tournament Breaks Records: Columbus, Ohio sees most players compete in a NDA Regional to date

    INDIANAPOLIS –The AMOA- National Dart Association held a Regional Tournament in Columbus, Ohio, Oct. 24 -26. The first to be held in Ohio, the regional competition drew in 229 players sent by 15 NDA operators from across Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia to compete, making it the largest NDA Regional Tournament to date.

    Providing local value to sanctioned players, the NDA Regional Tournaments have been a huge success amongst players.

  • More Than Half of NDA Colorado Regional Tournament Players Win Money

    INDIANAPOLIS –The AMOA–National Dart Association kicked off its Regional Tournament series Sept. 19-21, at the Moose Lodge in Longmont, Colorado.  The NDA awarded payouts to more than half of the 101 players sent by eight NDA operators from across South Dakota, Wyoming and Colorado to compete.

    Operators participating in the tournament purchased 150 event entry certificates in Open Singles 501, Open Singles Cricket, Open Doubles Cricket, Open Doubles ’01 and Mixed Triples Combo.

  • NDA Tournaments Move to Prepaid Player Fees

    August 26, 2014

    INDIANAPOLIS –After much thought and debate following overwhelming feedback from players, the AMOA-National Dart Association announced it will implement prepaid player fees for all upcoming tournaments beginning with the Regional Tournament series this fall.

    With many state and regional tournaments in the industry having moved to prepaid fees, players have become used to not having this additional onsite cost as well as the significant convenience this provides.

Seventeen NDA operators sent 196 players to the Madison tournament and 133 players from seven NDA operators attended Phoenix, all competing for $15,000 in prize money at each location.
