The AMOA-National Dart Association (NDA) elected three new board directors during the Annual Meeting at League SMART in Minneapolis, Minn. Newly elected directors for 2013 include Dusty Hall, Mary Lavine and Stefan Reichert.
Hall is the league coordinator of Lorain Music & Vending Company in Lorain, Ohio, is a veteran and has served as Post Commander of his local VFW in Shelby, Ohio. He is a certified referee for both the NDA and VNEA working at the Ohio Coin Machine Association tournaments as a referee and running brackets. Hall believes community involvement equals brand recognition and customer loyalty. He also knows customers want to belong to the best. Therefore, ensuring that local leagues and the NDA are the best is an important role for the NDA. Growth of the NDA and the sport is another priority.
Lavine, owner of Bullseye Games in Madison, Wis., currently serves as Vice President for the AMOA as well as immediate past president for the Wisconsin Amusement and Music Operators Association (WAMO). She has also served as a member of the WAMO dart committee for the past 14 years. Lavine is active with the location community including participation with Meals on Wheels and running leagues for various community organizations. Lavine knows despite the forces affecting the industry, leagues are the most important segment of the business today.
Reichert is the President of DSAB-EV in Waldalgesheim, Germany. He has been in the coin-op business for 25 years and currently serves on the NDA and VNEA Board of Directors. Reichert has served as second Mayor of his town, as well as serving on the town association’s Board of Directors and as commander of the Fire Brigade. Reichert believes in fair play and active participation by operators.
Hall, Lavine and Reichert will begin their board duties on January 1, 2013. The terms expire January 2016.
The NDA board of directors elected new officers for the 2013 term. Judy Mehle with BMW Billiards, Colorado, will serve as President, Lloyd Williamson with Sugar Loaf Amusement, Inc., Minnesota, as Vice President and Alvin Gerlach with Hub Music & Vending Co., South Dakota, as Secretary/Treasurer.
