NDA & VNEA Join Forces for the Second Time to Host Industry Event

The AMOA-National Dart Association (NDA) and Valley National 8-Ball League Association (VNEA) will once again host a joint educational conference. League SMART will be held in Minneapolis, Minn., July 12-14. A combination of the NDA’s Dart Summit and VNEA’s Charter Holder Workshop, League SMART, helps teach successful business practices throughout the industry.

Owners of coin-operated vending companies and league coordinators from across the world will be traveling to Minneapolis for this two-day event to learn the best techniques for successfully increasing league participation and interest.

“Having the conference as a combined force from both the NDA and VNEA is a great way to bring together hundreds of people in this business field,” said Marcia Petersen, President of the NDA. “This is an event where operators can take full advantage of being together by using each other as a resource to grow.”

Conference attendees will have the opportunity to speak with NDA and VNEA representatives to ask specific questions and receive advice and recommendations. Also available at the conference will be leading manufacturers in both the dart and pool industry.

“The opportunity to bring our conference together with the NDA was proven to be a success, and we are excited to be putting it on together again this year,” said Dave Hawkins, President of the VNEA. “We hope all of our Charter Holders, even those who attended the first biennial League SMART in 2010, will return this year for an information-packed good time.”

Registration is free to NDA and VNEA members and is open to non-members for $275. This year’s conference will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel & Suites Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport. The cost per room is $105 per night. The group rate is available until June 19, 2012.
